Setting up your Vodafone Broadband router

Hi I’m Ben from Vodafone and I’m going to show you how easy it is to set up your Vodafone Broadband router It needs to be placed close to a power outlet and your main home phone socket For the very best performance avoid placing it near electronic appliances or large obstacles which can block or reduce the signal There are three main types of phone sockets that you may find in your home If you have this kind of socket connect the internet cable to the microfilter Then plug the microfilter into your home phone socket Attach the other end of the cable to the red internet port on the back of the router Connect the power adapter cable to the power port and plug the other end into an electrical socket If you have either of these sockets don’t use the microfilter Instead set it up like this Switch the router on by pressing the on/off switch on the back The first time you do this the router will set itself up Leave it connected and uninterrupted for up to 60 minutes The red power light will turn to a constant red once it’s set up and you’ll get a green light once the internet is active To connect for the first time use the WiFi name and password on the back of the router If the red power light pulses slowly it’s connecting to the internet but if it’s flashing quickly there’s an error and you should get in touch with us using the number on screen There are two lights at the top too The internet status light is constantly green when you have an internet connection and flashes red if not If you do have a connection issue, check your cables are connected properly press the on/off button, and try again You can manage your router quickly and easily using the Vodafone Broadband app To find out about the app and how to manage your router including how to change the name and password, check out our playlist with the link onscreen or in the video description And for all the latest from us subscribe to the Vodafone UK YouTube channel
