Bits // New Channel Series!

Hey guys, I’m Bob from I like to make stuff and I’m really excited to announce a new series We’re going to be doing here on the channel. The new series is called bits Every week, I do a new project video and there’s a bunch of little details of bits of information that don’t fit into those projects And they just get left behind, and really it’s just a little bit of information a tip or a trick that might be useful to You down the road these videos are not going to replace the project videos. In fact, they’re going to be in addition to them So you’re going to be getting two videos a week. The first one comes out next week So keep an eye out for it, but I’ll be back later on this week with a new project video. See you then!

  1. The little tid bits that make your life a smidge easier add up to something that looks like skill from the outside, so I am eager to see what you've got for us! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Sounds great! My favorite thing about your channel is just learning fundamental skills, or how you use tools that I am unfamiliar with. I've been getting into DIY but I didn't grow up in a household that had access to tools so a lot of this stuff is new to me.

Most notably, you taught me what a dado is, which is a wonderful word on it's own =)

  3. Will look forward to this. It did confuse me a little for a moment seeing a vid out on a Tues. By the way it was nice to meet you at Maker Central! Cheers.

  4. Why does every growing channel have to have several other sidekick channels? Like for behind the scenes, above the scenes, under the scenes, beside the scenes, over the scenes etc? How about focusing on the same great content and making it even better? That's what defines a successful channel, and that's just my opinion.
Anyway, I do really love and support Bob and wish him the best! โค๏ธ

  5. Please make an electronics series, with micro controllers (Arduino, Raspberry pi), LEDs…๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

  6. Amazing, great job and hope your success with this channel keeps growing. This is by far one of the most professionally created channels on YouTube.

  7. When I saw "Bits," I was hoping this was going to be a new videos series about programing microcontrollers or more digital stuff.

  8. This series is going to be awesome. What a fabulous idea. It'll be like getting an extra episode of your absolute favourite TV show . . . . every single week. Yay ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Bob

  9. I can't wait to see what you have to show us, Bob. My boyfriend and I are absolutely amazed by your work ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š

  10. Oh man, my subscription feed failed on me, I have not seen one of your videos for months. Got a lot of catching up to do.

  11. I like the video about the new bits video coming soon . I also like that this video came out before the new bits video and new project video. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  12. I am always looking forward to your videos although I don't have all the resources like materials and especially the equipments.

  13. Yay! Tip idea #1 How to open a paint can with a freshly sharpened chisel ๐Ÿ˜‰ Looking forward to the extra content

  14. Seems like a way to increase revenue because:
    – the more often videos are released the better referencing, which translates into more viewers and hence more views,
    – more videos every week implies more views (again) which turns into better revenue.

  15. Bob, the new channel and concept sounds good.
Tips and tricks are in abundance from a 30,000ft view, but the little details that apply to your specific project types are what help us fans/viewers/contributors with our own.

    We're highly interested and excited!

  16. Bits? Yes, Just…yes. A…bit…of an advice though.
CATEGORIZE THEM(internally) from day one. They'll make an awesome reference book later on:)

  17. Like #2.9k plus 1, great to hear about Bits coming, can't wait, there is always some parts left out to make room or show something more import for me majority views, but for us that want it all no matter how long or boring to some, I want it all, you can learn a lot by the cut-outs or scraps on the editing floor, Later

  18. I'm so excited for this!!! I love your videos and the way you explain things, but every so often I could use a "bit" more explaining on certain things. Looking forward to it! Thanks Bob!

  19. Great idea, Bob! I already come to your videos because I know Iโ€™ll learn something or get a new idea every time. This feels like a great extension of that.

  20. So excited! I had followed your channel all this time and I just found out today that you are a SCAD alumni! so proud to be a SCAD graduate student.

  21. Bob Great Idea, make sure you index all the tips and categorize it will become a very useful resource in later years for you to use.

  22. First thought was the new series will be about electronics or physical computing. Anyway, looking forward to the bite-sized video tips.

  23. this is awesome. many times i feel i need bit more information or tiny information from your projects

  24. You should make an additional web series called Bytes to cover the programming stuff you do… Bits and Bytes…

  25. Bob, love your channel!

I think you should use Bits to further explain the tools you use in your "regular" videos. Instead of digressing in those videos, provide a link on-screen "for more information about this tool, click on this link here…"
